MHADA PUNE RESULTS OUT. MUMBAI DRAW COMPLETE. AND A MAHARERA RULING THAT CHANGES HOW SOCIETIES HANDLE COMMON AREA DISPUTES.
MHADA Lottery — Where Things Stand MHADA declared the results of the Pune Housing Board Lottery 2026 on June 25, 2026. Successful allottees must complete document verification — originals of domicile certificate, income proof, Aadhaar-linked bank account details, and the category eligibility certificate — within 72 hours of receiving their draw notification. The Pune Board's current offering in Tathawade Phase 2 comprises 792 units, predominantly 2BHK, priced between Rs 64.5 lakh and Rs 65.5 lakh, targeted for completion by June 2027. The Mumbai lottery draw, awaited after the provisional accepted list of 75,366 applicants was published on June 10, proceeded after the Maharashtra Legislative Council Model Code of Conduct was lifted following June 25 elections. Of the 2,640 units on offer, 1,762 — approximately 66% — remain under construction across Vikhroli, Goregaon, Borivali, and Chembur. Allottees in the under-construction category should verify the specific estimated completion date for their building before treating the draw result as a possession timeline. MahaRERA Ruling — Common Area Disputes After Society Formation On June 11, 2026, MahaRERA held that once a cooperative housing society is formed and possession has been handed over, individual allottees cannot file complaints at MahaRERA on common amenities, maintenance charges, or collective facilities. Member Mahesh Pathak dismissed a complaint by 19 allottees of Marathon Nexzone Zenith-2 — a project of Sanvo Resorts Pvt Ltd — on this ground. The authority held that Section 19(3) of RERA places the right to seek possession of common areas, and the right to raise disputes concerning them, with the society — not with individual allottees — once the society exists and possession is complete. Individual complaints in such matters will be found not maintainable. The society is the appropriate body through which common area claims must now be pursued. Thane Water Interruption The Thane Municipal Corporation implemented a planned 48-hour water supply interruption across several parts of Thane from June 23, linked to maintenance of the MIDC supply infrastructure. Construction sites dependent on continuous water supply for concrete and curing work reported schedule adjustments during the period. ACTIVE LITIGATION DISCLAIMER: MHADA lottery results and allotment processes are subject to further administrative steps, eligibility verification, and potential legal challenges. All figures are from published reports as of June 25, 2026. Verify your name on the provisional list at housing.mhada.gov.in using your application number before taking any further steps. MahaRERA June 11 ruling applies to societies where possession has been handed over and the society is registered. Societies in pre-possession phase retain individual complaint rights on amenity disputes.
