MAHARERA'S THANE CRACKDOWN: WHAT THE 38 DIVINE ORDER SIGNALS FOR DEVELOPERS

1 min read · Quick Read · Expert Desk | Thane | July 2026

MahaRERA Chairperson Manoj Saunik passed a final order on 9 July against the developer of 38 Divine, Kondhwa, directing delay interest to a homebuyer and ordering a probe into missing quarterly compliance reports. In the same period, MahaRERA issued suo motu notices to 14 projects for advertising without a registration number, and the Thane District Collector, Dr Shrikrishna Panchal, directed rapid resolution of land grievances through the PMG portal, with a target of closing pending land-acquisition matters by March 2026. For developers, the pattern across these three actions is consistent: designated bank accounts for project funds, visible RERA registration numbers on all advertising, and timely quarterly progress reports are no longer treated as paperwork formalities but as active enforcement priorities.
