THANE'S CLASS-2 LANDOWNERS GET UNTIL DECEMBER 2026 TO CONVERT TO CLASS-1

The Maharashtra Revenue Department has extended the deadline for conversion of Occupant Class-2 land to Class-1 tenure until 31 December 2026, providing relief to property owners and developers in Thane and other MMR districts. This eases long-standing hurdles in land titling, mortgage, sale, and redevelopment permissions for properties held under old tenure systems prevalent in Thane's extended urban and peri-urban areas. Society owners and individual plot holders in Thane district can now plan redevelopment or sale transactions with greater certainty, and developers gain an extended window to secure clear titles for new projects.

क्लास-१ रूपांतरणासाठी महसूल विभागाची मुदतवाढ - ठाणे व मीरा-भाईंदरमधील जुन्या मालमत्तांना दिलासा महाराष्ट्र महसूल विभागाने Occupant Class-2 जमिनीचे Class-1 मध्ये रूपांतर करण्याची मुदत ३१ डिसेंबर २०२६ पर्यंत वाढवली आहे. यामुळे ठाणे व मीरा-भाईंदरमधील जुन्या मालमत्तांचे हस्तांतरण, गहाण व पुनर्विकास सुलभ होईल.
